Matthias Steinbauer is a research and teaching assistant at the Institut of Telecooperation, Johannes Kepler University Linz. He has authored, co-authored and presented several research papers at international venues. He is lecturing multimedia systems and cloud computing at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and as a regular guest lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg he gives lectures on big data and just recently on mobile cross platform development. His main research interests are in the area of data mining on large temporal graphs such as the analysis of dynamic properties of social networks. Further he is working in the area of cloud computing, big data, distributed computing, parallel computing, mobile computing, and dynamic web. Before he started his career in science he gained hands on experience in IT and software development companies. He was a mobile web developer for online banking and mobile banking with Racon Software GmbH, the technological lead at immformer.com a software-as-a-service application for real estate brokers and a senior business process consultant with IDS Scheer Austria GmbH (now Software AG).
