Expanding NoSQL Technologies to Mobile Devices
This talk will discuss the hands-on experience in building an innovative approach to establish communication channels between server-side NoSQL environments and numerous mobile device applications with added offline features. Thereby, the power of NoSQL technologies like dynamic scaling, asynchronous replication and flexible data conflict resolution will be leveraged. As data copies are spread over several mobile devices and server-side nodes, highly scalable and fault-tolerant concepts have to be used to guarantee service availability and still maintaining consistent authentication and authorization mechanisms. Moreover, data updates need to be distributed across all participating nodes by ensuring privacy and data governance aspects on each individual mobile device. The talk will close with lessons learned during the implementation and evaluation phases.
